Supporting Individuals & The Community

Conferences & Courses

The Glastonbury Trust runs an annual conference in which we offer some of our current thinking to the teachers of Somerset. Our 2009 conference was on the theme of labyrinths and their use in schools.

We offer training sessions for teachers and learning assistants on developing on-site outdoor learning, improving emotional well-being and using labyrinths to develop outdoor learning and curriculum delivery. Leaflets with order forms can be requested online at contact@glastonburytrust.co.uk or by phoning 01458 831399. Or download by clicking on this link.

Supporting the Community & Environmental Projects

The Glastonbury Trust support projects which have community cohesion and inclusion at their heart. We are keen to support projects which might realise clear and sustainable benefits for our local community. Our particular interest is small locally based projects that have a good chance of becoming self-sustaining in the medium term. We are particularly keen on projects which reach across the generations.

Spiritual Databases

The Trust wishes to promote Glastonbury as a place of primary research for academics involved in the study of contemporary/alternative spirituality.

There are many organisations and individuals in Glastonbury with a depth of spiritual experience, based on practice in a variety of disciplines. The Trust would like to facilitate contact between such people and academics.

We are in the process of building a database in the form of spiritual biographies of individuals in Glastonbury. These autobiographies describe personal spiritual paths including details of teachers, practices, phenomenological experience and self reflection. If you are local to the Glastonbury area or Glastonbury has been part of your spiritual journey we would very much like to hear from you. You can upload your biography by registering with the website and following the links.

You will retain copyright of your biography. Please get in touch at contact@glastonburytrust.co.uk if you require further information. The Glastonbury Trust retains the right to delete biographies. In some instances we will email you to request further editing.
